NITROX DIVER PHUKET THAILAND

TWO days - Minimum Age 15

Nitrox refers to any gas mixture composing (excluding trace gases) of nitrogen and oxygen. This includes the normal air that we breathe which is approximately 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen, with around 1% other gases.

The most common use of Nitrox mixtures containing higher than normal levels of oxygen is in scuba diving, where the reduced percentage of nitrogen is advantageous in reducing nitrogen loadings in the body's tissues. This extends the possible dive time and reducing the risk of decompression sickness. Decompression sickness is known to divers as the bends.

Your Phuket Nitrox course takes two days and lets divers safely extend normal no decompression limits allowing them to stay longer at a given depth and is a great for all types of diver and diving.

The two most commonly used mixtures are EANx 32 and EANx 36 with 32% and 36% oxygen concentration, compared to 21% in normal air.

NORMAL 21% air at 20 metres allows you 45 minutes diving.

EANx 32% at 20 metres allows you 75 minutes diving.

EANx 36% at 20 metres allows you 95 minutes diving.

COURSE INCLUDES

Easy to follow and remember PADI modular academics, cylinder analyses and two Nitrox dives.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

Two Nitrox dives, hotel transfers on dive days (Kata, Karon, Patong beaches only), food, tea/coffee & water onboard boat, all dive equipment rental.

WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED

Hotel transfers, food and drinks on classroom & pool days, two passport photo’s and PADI Nitrox manual (available at dive centre.)

WHAT TO BRING

Towel, swim gear, sun lotion and two passport photos.
